This series is designed to lead up to the messages you'll hear at "In Christ, Of Christ," the Women's Ministry's 2013 retreat. This 7-week series features writers from Fairmount and beyond--please join us each week.
So, how was your Valentine’s Day? Predictable? Sad? Sweet? Indifferent? What would be the perfect way for someone to show they love you?
How could they show you that love year-after-year on Valentine’s Day? Do you want more each year? Do you get more and more disappointed, or happy? Does love come from a box of chocolates?...Pretty close!!! (lol)
Do you know, and truly believe, that God loves you? Is it enough to know that He loves you SO much that He gave His only Son to die on a cruel cross to save you? You are already loved, the rest is just “icing on the cake.” So, whatever your Valentine’s Day was or was not, you have the greatest Valentine’s gift anyone could ever have – God’s love for you.
So! If you feel you need it, to feel “loved,” then go buy yourself a ½ price after-Valentine’s-Day box of chocolates (if someone didn’t give you any the other day) and it may bring you some ‘worldly’ feeling of sweet pleasure for a moment or two -- But if you really want to know “Who loves you, baby’?” then look up, and remember that it’s your Heavenly Father who loves you with a love beyond any chocolate, a love that will never end…ever.
John 3:16 “For God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.” NLT
