How can your role be described?

 The Big Events Team Leader will work with the Children’s Director to mobilize volunteers to plan and carry out children’s ministry big events.  Strong organizational and leadership skills are needed.  Church membership is required for this role.

How will you serve?

You will be responsible for the following:

  • Work closely with Children’s Ministry staff to plan and carry out our big events
  • Help recruit and mobilize your team of volunteers
  • Provide leadership for your team as well as nurture, support, and appreciate them
  • Traditional events are Fall Kick-off, Fall Family Festival, Journey to Jesus, Family Skate Night, Box-Car Drive-In,

        Parent-Child Events, and the children’s portion of Spring Fair

  • Meet with your team to plan and organize these big events
  • Delegate the various responsibilities to carry out the events
  • Follow-up with your team and help them accomplish their responsibilities
  • Lead your team as they carry out the big events
  • Debrief, follow-up, and appreciate your volunteers after a big event & discuss next upcoming event
  • Being a Team Leader makes you automatically part of the Children’s Ministry Leadership Team that meets at least

bi-monthly to help the Children’s Director plan and improve our children’s ministry

What are the requirements to serve in this role?

  • Membership of Fairmount Christian Church status: Member
  • Completed Children’s Ministry Volunteer Application
  • Passed background security check
  • Completed Leadership Questionnaire and approved
  • Strong administrative and leadership skills
  • Completed Connections 101 and 201 classes

  • Role Packages for volunteers in your area
