How can your role be described?

Elementary Crafts Leaders plan and carry out crafts activities with elementary students during Wednesday night programming.  Church membership is not required for this role.  Crafts Leaders serve each week during the 9-week series.

What are the available times to serve?

Wednesday Nights: 7:00-7:30 PM  Kindergarten – Fifth grade; Fall Session: Sept-Nov; Spring Session: Jan-Mar or early Apr

How will you serve?

You will be responsible for the following:

  • Plan craft activities and secure supplies in advance from the Resource Room and from purchases within your budget allowance
  • Arrive early and have crafts room ready for students
  • Teach the crafts activities in a fun, organized manner
  • Teach and foster Christian character during crafts by encouraging sharing, waiting patiently, and obeying directions
  • Model Christ-like behavior for your students both in and out of the classroom
  • End activities at the appropriate time and supervise students until picked up by parents

What are the requirements to serve in this role?

  • Membership of Fairmount Christian Church status: Active attender
  • Completed Children’s Ministry Volunteer Application
  • Passed background security check
  • Completed Special Needs training (as needed)

  • Access to Resource Room
