How can your role be described?

Elementary Sports Leaders plan and carry out sports activities with elementary students during Wednesday night programming.  Church membership is not required for this role.  Sports Leaders serve each week during the 9-week series.

What are the available times to serve?

Wednesday Nights: 7:00-7:30 PM  Kindergarten – Fifth grade; Fall Session: Sept-Nov; Spring Session: Jan-Mar or Early April

How will you serve?

You will be responsible for the following:

  • Arrive early and help get the gym ready for sports
  • Have sports planned and equipment ready
  • Teach the sports activities in a fun, organized manner
  • Teach and foster good sportsmanship and Christian character during sports
  • Model Christ-like behavior for your students both in and out of the gym
  • End activities at the appropriate time and supervise students until picked up by parents

What are the requirements to serve in this role?

  • Membership of Fairmount Christian Church status: Active attender
  • Completed Children’s Ministry Volunteer Application
  • Passed background security check
  • Completed Special Needs training (as needed)

What will you need while you serve?

  • Contacts and Schedule
  • Name tag weekly from Check-In kiosk
  • Access to key for raising & lowering divider in gym
  • Access to sports equipment
