How can your role be described?   Memory Station Volunteers actively listen to children recite Bible memory work & award them Fairmount Shares for their efforts.  These volunteers have the joy of encouraging children to continue learning grade appropriate memory work throughout the year.  Church membership is not required for this role.  Service commitment is 30 minutes, one Sunday morning a month.

What are the available times to serve?

Sunday mornings:  9:15 – 9:45 or 10:45 – 11:10

How will you serve?

You will be responsible for the following:

  • Retrieve computer, Memory Station Notebook & Shares Basket from black cabinet in upstairs hallway.  The combination to the lock will be given to all volunteers.
  • Set-up computer with assigned log-on/password access.
  • Greet children, listen to their memory work, praise and encourage them, write their memory work in the Notebook, update the computer, and award the appropriate number of shares.
  • If you are unable to be at the Memory Station for your assigned time, please trade with another trained volunteer and let your Team Leaders know.
    • Membership of Fairmount Christian Church status: Active attender
    • Completed Children’s Ministry Volunteer Application
    • Basic Computer Entry  Skills
    • Passed background security check
    • Contacts and Schedule
    • Memory Station Computer
    • Computer log-on/password information & instructions for entering information
    • Memory Station Notebook – All grade level memory work, issuing of shares & paper to record children’s recitations
    • Basket of shares
    • Name tag weekly from Check-In kiosk
