How can your role be described?

 Treasures in Heaven Team Leaders oversee Treasures in Heaven, our Bible memorization program for elementary students.  They create incentives that make Bible memorization exciting for our students as well as recruit, train, and manage the volunteers serving in their area.  They work closely with the Children’s Director and are part of the Children’s Leadership Team.  Church membership is required.

How will you serve?

You will be responsible for the following:

  • Overseeing all aspects of the Treasures in Heaven, including Memory Station, Shares Store, the Treasures in Heaven awards system, and the Treasures in Heaven bulletin board
  • Keep up the computer system of tracking students’ memorization
  • Present awards to students quarterly
  • Recruit and mobilize volunteers for your area
  • Provide leadership for your team of volunteers as well as nurture, support, and appreciate them
  • Ensure all of your volunteers have an up to date Contacts and Schedule (If any of your volunteers have a change in contact information, let the Children’s Ministry Volunteer Coordinator know as soon as possible)
  • Being a Team Leader makes you automatically part of the Children’s Ministry Leadership Team that meets at least

bi-monthly to help the Children’s Director plan and improve our children’s ministry

What are the requirements to serve in this role?

  • Membership of Fairmount Christian Church status: Member
  • Completed Children’s Ministry Volunteer Application
  • Completed Leadership Questionnaire and approved
  • Passed background security check
  • Strong administrative and leadership skills
  • Completed Connections 101 and 201 classes

  • Bronze, silver, and gold awards
  • Name tag weekly from Check-In kiosk
  • Role Packages for volunteers in your area
