How can your role be described?

 Children’s Ministry Team Leaders recruit, train, and manage the volunteers serving with children who have special needs.  Team Leaders work closely with the Children’s Ministry Director and are part of the Children’s Leadership Team.  Church membership is required.

How will you serve?

You will be responsible for the following:

  • Help recruit and mobilize volunteers for Special Needs
  • Maintain communication with volunteers and with parents of children with special needs
  • Provide leadership for your team of volunteers as well as nurture, support, and appreciate them
  • Ensure all of your volunteers have an up to date Contacts and Schedule (If any of your volunteers have a change in contact information, let the Children’s Ministry Volunteer Coordinator know as soon as possible)
  • Being a Team Leader makes you automatically part of the Children’s Ministry Leadership Team that meets at least

bi-monthly to help the Children’s Director plan and improve our children’s ministry

What are the requirements to serve in this role?

  • Membership of Fairmount Christian Church status: Member
  • Completed Children’s Ministry Volunteer Application
  • Passed background security check
  • Completed Leadership Questionnaire and approved
  • Completed Special Needs Training
  • Strong administrative and leadership skills
  • Completed Connections 101 and 201 classes

  • Name tag weekly from Check-In kiosk
  • Role Packages for volunteers in your area
